James Albright – Director.   James and his wife, Erica, both grew up in Oakville and went to OTHS.  They moved back “home” to Oakville in 2016, after living in downtown Toronto for 7 years.  James is a Chartered Accountant and currently works for a technology company in the Fertility space.  James joined the TCRA Board in 2018 as a way to engage with the community and provide a voice for things that directly impact the TCRA community.  When not working, James enjoys golfing in the summer and playing hockey and skiing in the winter. james@tcra.ca

Andrew Harmgardt – Director.    Andrew was born at the old Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and moved back to Oakville in 2016, after spending several years living in downtown Toronto. He and his wife, Courtney, young son and dog live in an old heritage home from a member of Oakville’s founding family and can often be seen pushing the stroller around the neighbourhood.  Andrew joined the TCRA board in 2018 and runs the Association’s social media outreach on our Facebook and Instagram platforms. You will often find Andrew and his family supporting our local amazing events, shops, coffee spots and charity sales taking pictures to post for social media! He is passionate about OUR community and how we can keep Oakville the Best Place to Live in Canada!  Andrew works for CIBC in the Office of the CEO and previously spent numerous years advising owners of privately held businesses on the sale of their companies.  andrew.harmgardt@tcra.ca

Linda Wilson-Pauwels – Director.   Linda and her husband Hugh have lived in Oakville for 45 years. They now live on Gloucester Ave. Linda is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and she earned her doctoral degree from the University of Toronto (UofT). For 28 years, she was a full-time tenured Professor in Biomedical Communications at UofT. She has been retired for five years.  Linda joined the TCRA Board three years ago and is a Director with the Committee of Adjustment portfolio. She enjoys working with members of the TCRA to help control overbuilding.  Linda and her husband Hugh are avid travellers who love art, history and wine. However, they are always excited to return to beautiful Oakville and their dog Brie. Linda is pleased to give back to the Town that has given her so much happiness.

Mark Boot – Director.   Mark spent 30 years in commercial banking with Scotiabank before retiring and joining Sotheby's as a broker.  Dianne and he moved to Oakville in July 1983. The moving truck had just left when a neighbour arrived in the driveway to announce “we need you to come to a public meeting concerning the neighbourhood” and so it began. The TCRA was established with concerned neighbours and Mark was the first President.

Nick Hutchins – Director.   Born in Kenya, Nick has lived in many countries and cities and has now been in Oakville since 1986. Schooled in the UK, he also studied fine arts there. Arriving in the Washington DC area, in 1969, he played rugby for the University of Maryland, as well as earning a BSc. in Business there.  Emigrating from the UK to Canada in 1974, Nick joined the pharmaceutical industry and was in management. He started HIL-Tech Ltd., in 1999, a jointly owned business which; designs, patents, manufactures, markets and sells, worldwide, his LEDline® in-pavement LED lights for commercial applications.  In 1999, to fight against the loss of the old OTMH hospital, Nick joined the TCRA as a Director, subsequently becoming its President. In 2016, Nick then left to become Oakville’s Ward 3 Town Councillor. In 2019, he was pleased to re-join the TCRA Board of Directors.

Peter DeRosa – President.  Peter was born in Monte Cassino, Italy, site of the famous World War II battle.  He came to Canada with his family as a child and grew up in Montreal, attending Concordia University there.  He has lived in Oakville since 1985.  He has worked in accounting and finance for most of his career, having articled with Coopers & Lybrand.  In his retirement, he has gone back to work and is now a broker with Re/Max!  Always active, he and his wife have recently developed a passion for long-distance walking.  Their longest walk so far has been the 800 km Camino Frances in Spain.  Peter has been a member of the TCRA board since 2011 and President since 2017.  He loves living in Oakville, and working with his friends on the board on behalf of our neighbourhood.

Paul Ambrose - Secretary, Treasurer & Director.   Paul has lived in Oakville for almost seventy years.  He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and then joined GE Canada where he spent more than thirty years in a variety of controllership and financial systems activities.  Paul has been a TCRA director and Treasurer for six years.  More recently, he has also assumed Recording Secretary and Membership Secretary responsibilities.  Paul enjoys travelling, photography, wine and the company of friends.

Doug McKirgan - Vice President.   Doug has lived in Oakville since 1969, with a brief three-year absence during the eighties.  Originally trained as a mining engineer, he spent most of his career as an information technologist, working for Inco Ltd.  Now retired, Doug lives on Trafalgar Road, overlooking the 16 Mile Creek.   An immigrant from England, he feels truly blessed to live in Canada and in this lovely town.  Doug has been a TCRA director for eight years.  Apart from his role as Vice-President, Doug helps out with TCRA administration.

Bob Brunini – Director.    Bob was born and raised in Montreal where he attended Concordia University.  Bob and his wife Betty have lived in Oakville for forty years with their two daughters.  For close to fifty years, Bob has worked in the retail industry. His breadth of experience involves senior leadership in all aspects of merchandising, marketing, operations and customer relationship management in various product portfolios for The Hudson's Bay Company, Holt Renfrew, Comark and the LCBO.  Though Bob's career experiences have given him the opportunity to travel to Asia and Europe and across Canada, he and Betty were happy to return and settle in Oakville thirty-five years ago. Since retiring four years ago, Bob spends his time volunteering on the Board of the TCRA, the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and is a member of Probus of Downtown Oakville where he enjoys giving back to the Oakville community.  Bob and his wife, Betty enjoy golfing at the Oakville Golf Club, travelling and spending time with their four grandchildren.  bob.brunini@sympatico.ca

Andrew Morgan - Director.   Andrew was born and raised in Oakville. After spending several years living and working in Toronto, Andrew moved back to Oakville in 2017 with his wife Michelle. He joined the TCRA Board of Directors in 2019. Andrew is a lawyer, and he currently works at a leading environmental services company providing corporate commercial advice. Elizabeth Kerr - Director.   Elizabeth joined the TCRA Board in 2019.  She has lived on Caesar Ave since 2003 with her husband Nick, a longer-term Oakville resident.  Both she and her husband are enthusiastic about contributing to the community where their family lives; Elizabeth by volunteering at her son’s school (WH Morden) and joining the Board and Nick through the creation of “Friends of Perkins Passage”.  Elizabeth works full time as a paediatric neuropsychologist.  Biking and walking through Oakville’s beautiful neighbourhoods and kayaking on 16 mile creek with her family are mainstays of her life-work balance.

Jayne Huddleston - Director.   Jayne was born in Toronto, raised in Mississauga, and chose Oakville as her home over 40 years ago. She is retired from a career in journalism, having worked as a photojournalist in specialty magazines, and as a producer, researcher, statistician and writer with CBC television. Although her journalism career was primarily covering sports, she also produced documentaries and news, as well as writing about personal investing and real estate. Early in her career she travelled extensively as a publicist, photographer and statistician with the Canadian Equestrian Team. It was her involvement in equestrian sport that brought her to Oakville as a teenager, when the farms of north Oakville were the training ground for members of Canada's international team. In retirement she still enjoys many of her career activities, now as hobbies, such as photography, travelling, and investing, and staying on top of news and current affairs.  jaynehuddleston@aol.com

Carolyn McMinn - Director.   Carolyn and her family moved to Gloucester Ave, Oakville, five years ago after a six-year stint in England. She is Australian born and holds degrees in Commerce (Econometrics) and Arts (Languages) from the University of Melbourne.  Originally an investment banker, she is now the finance and logistics director for 4 children, 2 dogs and 1 husband. Carolyn joined the TCRA board in 2019 and looks forward to making a contribution to the community. Michelle White - Director.   Michelle moved to Oakville in 2017, after spending several years living in downtown Toronto and her childhood years in Port Credit. Michelle's husband grew up in Oakville, and they got married at the Oakville Club in 2017. She is excited to plant roots in this beautiful neighbourhood.  Michelle earned a BMOS degree from Western University and a MBA from the University of Toronto. She is also a CFA charterholder. Michelle is a Director at TD, working in the Commercial Lending group with specializations in the construction industry and asset-based deals. She has been with TD since 2012. Michelle enjoys jigsaw puzzles, Netflix, wine, golden retrievers, and Black Forest bakery.  Michelle is one of TCRA's newer members, having joined in early 2019.
