The park on the former Brantwood School property has been very well used by residents from all around our area for decades.
However, the Town plan remains a combination of development, preserving the façade of the existing building, and a tiny parkette (relocated to a corner of the lot). The remainer of the land will be allocated to development of 7 detached homes. There is no intention to reserve any of the Brantwood field for free play.
Town Council has approved Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendments. The sale of the property is expected to be completed by mid-2018 with development starting in the Fall 2018.
We communicate, support and advocate on behalf of neighbourhood residents with the aim of maintaining and improving the special character of our community.
