When complete, these pages will provide - by way of anecdote, personal recollections, images and information tidbits - a sense of the rich history of the TCRA area fro the days of Oakville's founding in the early 1800's up to the recent past. This is going to take awhile! If you can help, we'd love to hear from you. Perhaps you or someone you know (a parent? a grandparent? a long-time friend?) has recollections they'd be prepared to share about "the way it was" years or decades ago in this area. Maybe you have research, interviewing or writing skills and could lend a hand when needed. Or maybe you're a local history buff who knows all about it! If you're any of these, please get in touch with us. We don't need a work of art - 100 words or a 1-2 minute audio/video clip would be great! How to use this page
This page serves as the "gateway" to the rest of the Community History section. Numbers on the map correspond to the numbered list items. Clicking on an image will usually provide a larger or c2006 version. We welcome your input and corrections!
