Welcome to the Trafalgar-Chartwell Residents' Association (TCRA) web site

We've created this site with the objective of making our Oakville, Ontario area even more delightful for those of us lucky enough to live here. The site is updated frequently for events and other information of local importance that may affect our neighbourhood.

TCRA is a volunteer organization of residents committed to preserving and improving the distinctive character of our neighbourhood. Its success depends on a broad base of support in a well-informed community. This web site is intended to contribute to those goals.

Change is one of the forces that makes life so fascinating. Often change requires that knowledge and creativity be brought to bear to advance new ways of protecting those values we hold most dear. We will attempt to identify some of those impacts and direct you to appropriate resources.

Walking characterizes our neighbourhood. Many walk to the train, to shops, or to school. In fact many residents say that’s why they live here. The freedom to walk in safety amongst our great old trees, past homes built by Oakville’s founding families (or beautiful new ones) and chat with neighbours – this characterizes some of who we are and what we cherish. Supporting such values is a responsibility the TCRA takes seriously.

Please explore the site and let us (and/or your local councillors) know if you need more information or assistance with areas of local concern. And if you'd like to support us in our efforts, please click here!
