Temporary On-Street Parking Permits for occasions such as: paving or repairs to driveways, home renovations, or for visitor/guest parking when parking requirements temporarily exceed the parking provisions, are available at Town of Oakville offices. For one night of unplanned overnight on-street parking, please use the after-hours message service (905) 338-4394 to record your address, licence number and make of your car. Experience suggests that this must be done for EACH and EVERY night of unplanned overnight parking.

Illegal Parking in Your Area: Following is an excerpt from the May 2006 TCRA Newletter:
"There is a different kind of parking problem on some of the streets in our neighbourhood. They are becoming parking lots for the hospital. There are time limits to control the parking but there doesn't appear to be enforcement of the limits. What was learned is that there are only two enforcement officers on duty at any one time to cover the entire Town outside the downtown area. Therefore, they enforce upon complaints only. If you believe the time limits are beinig abused on your street, complain! Call 905-845-6601 ext. 7275, or 905-338-4394."
